Fly Caddy Fly Boxes

Ian Martin (best known for his hand crafted fly rods and silk fly lines) is now distributing the 'Fly Caddy' range of fly boxes.

These truly are the 'Tonka Toy' of fly boxes, and I would guess more or less indestructible - even by me.

Made from fibreglass reinforced ABS, the boxes come in a range of sizes and styles - with just about every imaginable combination of flat foam, rippled foam and divided compartments and a wide range of colours.

There's an ingenious neoprene seal which makes sure that the contents stay dry (apparently the boxes have been pressure tested to depths beyond 100 feet) and if you're prone (as I am) to driving off before you’ve put your tackle in the boot, some of these boxes have been placed under the wheels of vehicles - and they remained in one piece.

Prices range from £12.95 to £24.95 and on the basis that they’ll last forever - I'd say they’re excellent value.
