The Sunday Times recognises Fish & Fly

The Sunday Times (8th July 2001) has recognised Fish & Fly as the UK's best angling website. In its Doors Internet guide survey of top angling sites, Fish & Fly was the only site to be awarded the maximum rating of five stars.

In his review Rob Beattie wrote that "Just as those who fly-fish are more dapper than their coarse-fishing counterparts (think picnic baskets rather than pork pies), so this site, decked out in khakis and pastels, is better turned out than its bait-fishing competitors. It is also packed with useful information: a directory of knots, thoughtful reviews, the best message board of its kind, regularly updated news, and practical features. Whether it is building a wading stick for pennies, or pumping the stomach of a trout to find out what it has just scoffed, it is covered here." 5/5
